Spain's Nuclear Safety Council (CSN) has approved renewal of the operating licence of the single-unit Trillo nuclear power station in Guadalajara, central Spain, until 2024, CSN said in a statement.

The European Commission has found revised UK plans to subsidise the construction and operation of a new nuclear power plant at Hinkley Point in Somerset to be in line with EU state aid rules. During the in-depth investigation, the UK has agreed to significantly modify the terms of the project financing.

Japan's prime minister has reaffirmed plans to restart nuclear reactors that comply with new safety standards, saying the country's dependency on overseas fuels is now greater than it was during the oil shocks of the 1970s.

The 4th Edition of European Master in Innovation in Nuclear Energy (EMINE) in the frame work of the European Institute of Technology - KIC InnoEnergy is now open for registration.

Duration: 120 ECTS, two years.

Mobility track: First year at Spain and Sweden, second year at France.
