Poland will reduce dependence on coal by introducing nuclear power and renewables, according a draft energy policy to 2050 released for consultation.

A contract has been awarded to the Spanish company IDOM for the integration of diagnostic instruments into vacuum vessel ports at the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER) under construction at Cadarache in southern France.

National nuclear safety regulators will have more independence and a new peer-review system under an amended EU Nuclear Safety Directive which was approved by the European Council says World Nuclear News.

The 4th Edition of European Master in Innovation in Nuclear Energy (EMINE) in the frame work of the European Institute of Technology - KIC InnoEnergy is now open for registration.

Duration: 120 ECTS, two years.

Language: English.

Mobility track: First year at Spain and Sweden, second year at France.
