
Westinghouse will supply nuclear fuel for Slovakian nuclear power plants
Westinghouse and the Slovenian electric company Slovenské Elektrárne have signed an agreement for the supply of nuclear fuel to Slovakian nuclear reactors.
Westinghouse will license and supply VVER-440 fuel assemblies to Slovenské Elektrárne's nuclear power plants in Slovakia. The agreement supports Slovakia's energy security and diversification of nuclear fuel. Approximately 59% of the electricity produced in the country is generated by nuclear power plants.

The presidents of both companies have declared their satisfaction with this new agreement, which will strengthen Slovakia's energy security and fuel supply diversification, according to the Slovenian representative; Westinghouse has declared its ongoing support to Slovakia's operating fleet.
