
Westinghouse has acquired 50% of the Spanish company Tecnatom
Westinghouse Electric Company continues to expand across Europe by becoming co-owner and co-manager of Tecnatom through a joint venture with Endesa.
Westinghouse Electric Company finalized the 50% acquisition of shares of Tecnatom. These shares were previously owned by the Spanish electric companies Naturgy and Iberdrola.
Tecnatom, member of Foro Nuclear, is a Spanish engineering company that currently employs approximately 850 people and has provided services to the nuclear sector since 1957. Westinghouse and Tecnatom have collaborated for may years in the areas of refueling maintenance, engineering and digital service, including AP1000 technology.
